STEVIE IS COMING BY...

After last years show in Anaheim we were honoured to have a visit from probably the greatest song writers and musicians the world has ever seen by way of the one and only Stevie Wonder. Stevie popped by after checking out our headphones a few years ago and wanted to hear how they had developed now being wireless. Stevie sat down with his son and our Mark for 40 minutes going through new music and gauging ideas on what make sound so personal. It was a moment in time we will never forget and are so grateful for his time on the booth.

 

Both Mark & Stevie looked very comfortable in each other’s company, like two old friends it was wonderful to witness, I was introduced by Stevie to his son and we talked a bit about headphones and music, Stevie was able to pair our headphones to his phone using his braille device and after talking, he was asking which button was what and Mark suggested if we put braille on the side of the headphones, Stevie suggested U for volume up and D for volume down and A for answer as well as L and R for left and right…

It is of little cost to implement this little feature, often overlooked. So watch this space as well as the upgrade to USB C in future production runs we have been working on feature updates via the app and firmware. Continuing our R&D journey into the world of consumer audio. As with everything we do it has to be about the sound first! We love to innovate and by listening to people we respect and admire to aid our R&D process it makes for some great stories along the way. Like this one, a story we never envisioned as a father son team we would ever get 40 minutes with Stevie Wonder, it is still astonishing a real pinch me moment.
