Meters Music Proud Sponsors of Teenage Cancer Trust 2018
Teenage Cancer Trust’s annual concert series at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall is one of the best loved music events in Britain and features some of the biggest names in music from across the world.
With the charity lying close to our hearts, Meters Music were proud to support the amazing work of the Teenage Cancer Trust by joining this year’s sponsor list. We hope you had the chance to #spotthevu in the event program!
“We’ve supported the work of the Teenage Cancer Trust for years and we’ve been very privileged to see many of our artists perform here over the years, including Biffy Clyro, Arctic Monkeys and The Who. For me, the event helps to highlight that cancer effects people of all ages. Teenage Cancer Support provide life-changing care and support to youngsters facing cancer”, said Meters Music Founder and MD Mark Gooday.
The team at Meters Music were in the audience on night 4, which played host to ‘The Who’ star Roger Daltrey performing an amazing set of Tho Who hits. First up was ‘Dr Pepper's Jaded Hearts Club Band’ featuring Matt Bellamy and Graham Coxon, who put on an incredible set of Beatles covers in a line-up that also featured members of The Zutons, Nine Inch Nails and Jet.
The Who kicked off the first ever Teenage Cancer Trust show at the Royal Albert Hall back in November 2000. Of course, Ashdown bass amps could be seen on stage with the late and great John Entwistle. Fast forward 18 years and we’re proud to be present at the event once again as Meters Music.
